ProTalent are delighted to be working with a leading and growing accountancy practice in Brighton, who are looking to welcome a Trainee Accountant into their Audit team. Salary: £25k+ (depending on exam progress)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm, with 1-hour lunch). Flexible working patterns may be considered (minimum 30 hours / 4 days).

The Role

As a Trainee Accountant (Audit), you will:

  • Assist with audit engagements both in the office and at client premises.

  • Support Audit Seniors and Managers with assigned work.

  • Perform testing procedures and document audit conclusions.

  • Communicate issues and solutions clearly and professionally.

  • Develop your technical and professional knowledge while working towards ACA or AAT qualifications.

  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation and compliance requirements.

About You

The successful candidate will be:

  • Actively studying towards ACA or AAT (with a degree or A-Levels).

  • Ideally have 1 year of practical experience.

  • Organised with strong attention to detail.

  • A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.

  • A logical problem solver and strong team player.

  • Comfortable using IT systems, particularly Excel and online accounting software.
