A long-established independent firm in Hove is looking for a Tax Senior or Tax Manager to take ownership of their personal tax function. The current Personal Tax Manager is retiring after running the department efficiently for years, and the firm is now offering the role on a full-time basis.

This is a small practice with a tight-knit team of 12, many of whom have worked together for a long time. It's the sort of place where people stay, which tells you most of what you need to know about the culture.

The role:

• Overseeing around 600 personal tax returns per year
• Handling ATED, Trust Tax Returns, and RTCGT
• Acting as the firm's go-to person on personal tax enquiries
• Leading the MTD rollout for landlord clients
• Working closely with the Partner and Accounts Manager through weekly practice meetings
