Tax Manager - Guildford

Tax Manager | Guildford | £50,000+

We’re working with a fast-growing, multi-office accountancy and advisory firm with a strong presence across Surrey and Sussex, looking to appoint a Tax Manager into their Guildford office.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, working closely with owner-managed businesses and individuals, delivering both compliance and advisory services.

The Role

You’ll manage your own portfolio while playing a key role in developing client relationships and supporting the wider tax team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients (predominantly OMBs)
• Delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services
• Advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, estate planning and R&D
• Reviewing tax computations and compliance work prepared by junior staff
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients and HMRC
• Supporting and developing junior team members
• Managing workloads, deadlines and project delivery
• Contributing to business development and client growth

About You

• ATT qualified (CTA desirable)
• Strong background within an accountancy practice environment
• Experience across personal tax compliance with some corporate/advisory exposure
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation
• Confident managing client relationships and handling queries independently
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
