Tax Manager | Guildford | £50,000+
We’re working with a fast-growing, multi-office accountancy and advisory firm with a strong presence across Surrey and Sussex, looking to appoint a Tax Manager into their Guildford office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, working closely with owner-managed businesses and individuals, delivering both compliance and advisory services.
The Role
You’ll manage your own portfolio while playing a key role in developing client relationships and supporting the wider tax team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients (predominantly OMBs)
- Delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services
- Advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, estate planning and R&D
- Reviewing tax computations and compliance work prepared by junior staff
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and HMRC
- Supporting and developing junior team members
- Managing workloads, deadlines and project delivery
- Contributing to business development and client growth
About You
- ATT qualified (CTA desirable)
- Strong background within an accountancy practice environment
- Experience across personal tax compliance with some corporate/advisory exposure
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation
- Confident managing client relationships and handling queries independently
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
