This role is ideal for an accountant with strong cloud accounting experience who is keen to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, implementing and managing cloud-based financial systems. The Role:
As a Senior Cloud Accountant, you will manage a portfolio of clients, providing them with expert advice on cloud accounting solutions. You will work closely with clients to implement cloud-based accounting software, manage their financial data, and deliver key insights to help them grow their businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients, advising on cloud accounting system Xero.
  • Implementing and optimising cloud accounting software for clients, including training and ongoing support.
  • Preparing management accounts, VAT returns, and financial reports using cloud-based software.
  • Providing clients with real-time financial insights and advice to support business decision-making.
  • Conducting regular reviews of clients' accounting processes and recommending improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and filing deadlines.
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new clients to cloud-based platforms.
  • Supporting junior team members in the use of cloud accounting software and ensuring high-quality output.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in cloud technology and accounting regulations.
  • Collaborating with other departments to provide a seamless service for clients.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified (or QBE) with strong cloud accounting experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with cloud accounting platform Xero.
  • Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and provide high-quality service.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and support clients in the use of cloud software.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks.
  • Ability to provide real-time financial insights and business advice using cloud data.
  • A passion for technology and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in managing junior staff and reviewing their work is an advantage.
