ProTalent are currently working with one of Brighton & Hove's leading accountancy practices to recruit a Senior Bookkeeper:

The rile:
- Onboarding new clients and designing the best systems for their business. Liaising with outsourcing team and reviewing work returned
- Xero expert. Confident in training new clients and supporting with system use. Running workshops as required
- Ideally min 2 years experience of working in an accountancy practice bookkeeping function - e.g., sales ledger, maintaining accounts, verifying and posting transactions, bank reconciliation, reconciling control accounts on the balance sheet, balancing accounts, recording client assets, managing client invoices & payments, liaising with clients, suppliers and banking contacts, production of management accounts.
- Experience of filing VAT Returns

- Possess first-rate numerical skills
- Commercially driven with an emphasis on providing quality advice & high level of customer service from someone who is both friendly, approachable and goes above and beyond to meet the needs of clients
- A passion for small businesses and helping people. Experience of dealing with small businesses from start up to £2m turnover is essential.
- Highly organised. Works in a logical and methodical, time efficient and accurate way. Meticulous attention to detail is essential.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and efficient time management – able to prioritise and manage deadlines & workload
- Confident in making decisions and when to refer problems
- Clear communicator across all mediums & easily builds rapport with clients and team
