The client is a leading accountancy firm in Romford, providing a wide range of accounting, tax, and financial services to businesses and individuals.
Job Description:
As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients with their accounting needs. You will be responsible for handling various accounting tasks, providing financial advice, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients.
- Conducting financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights to clients.
- Assisting with audits and liaising with external auditors.
- Providing support to clients on accounting software usage and troubleshooting.
- Assisting with client payroll processing and related compliance activities.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in accounting and tax regulations to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
