Responsibilities:
As the Bookkeeper/Semi-Senior, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing essential support to the accounting team. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Raising invoices and entering purchases onto client accounts with precision and attention to detail.
- Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Preparing weekly payment run reports to manage outgoing payments efficiently.
- Assisting in setting up payments for suppliers and processing payroll with diligence.
- Undertaking general accounts administration duties to maintain a smooth financial operation.
- Updating and maintaining client details on databases, ensuring data integrity.
- Providing valuable admin support to the accounting team, contributing to seamless operations.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, the ideal Bookkeeper/Semi-Senior should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or related financial roles, showcasing strong numerical skills.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools to manage financial transactions.
- Excellent organizational abilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the willingness to assist the team as needed.
- AAT qualification or equivalent would be advantageous but not essential.
