This is a newly-created role in an ever-expanding, dynamic outsourcing business. It is best suited to an individual who is passionate in providing an exceptional, bespoke service to clients.
Whether your background is industry or practice, you will be supporting the director in improving systems and processes to enhance clients’ businesses which range from entrepreneurs & SMEs to large group companies.
Confidence working with a range of people is essential, along with being able to present management information, deal with VAT compliance, and prepare forecasts & budgets.
This firm embraces hybrid/remote working. Based at their London office, you may also be required to spend some time at the office in Uckfield, East Sussex.
Day-to-day, you will lead a team, train and support both team members and clients, work alongside the Director looking at new technologies and systems to enhance efficiencies, review bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns, review year end packs to be passed to the accounts and audit teams internally, assist with ensuring that deadlines and time budgets are met, complete and review VAT compliance including registration, de-registration, option to tax, VAT enquiries and investigation. You will also work with the group VAT specialist who will be able to advise and direct on more complex areas of VAT.
This role is very client-facing and will require you to assist and advise clients with their accounting systems, which can include designing accounting processes and internal controls.
If you are ACA, ACCA, CIMA or QBE with previous proven book-keeping and management accountancy experience and extensive VAT knowledge, this could be the perfect role to springboard your career.
Intermediate/advanced Excel, Xero, Sage 50 are important for this role, along with knowledge of working with and improving processes and systems.
