Location: Brighton (Primarily Office-Based)
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 (Dependent on Qualifications and Experience)

The Role:
As a Corporation Tax Senior or Manager, you’ll play a key role in providing comprehensive tax services to a range of clients, from corporate groups and private equity-backed businesses to large owner-managed businesses (OMBs). You’ll oversee complex compliance tasks, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to high-value advisory projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned tax professional who thrives on variety, technical challenges, and building meaningful client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Leadership:

    • Prepare tax accounting disclosures and corporation tax computations for complex clients, ensuring HMRC submissions are accurate and timely.
    • Review junior team members’ work on simpler compliance cases, offering guidance and constructive feedback.
    • Manage risks related to contentious tax issues, providing proactive and sound advice to clients.
    • Oversee quarterly instalment payment calculations.
  • Advisory Expertise:

    • Conduct detailed capital allowance reviews and R&D claims.
    • Support group restructures, mergers, and acquisitions with corporation tax due diligence.
    • Participate in high-value, strategic advisory projects, providing clients with tailored tax solutions.
  • Collaboration & Development:

    • Mentor and train junior colleagues, fostering technical growth and confidence.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal tax teams and wider firm stakeholders.
    • Develop commercial, trust-based relationships with clients to understand their business goals and tax needs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A friendly, approachable professional with strong communication skills.
  • Confidence in liaising with clients and HMRC, both in writing and verbally.
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, AAT, or CTA, with at least two years of corporation tax experience.
  • A strong technical understanding of tax compliance, with additional advisory experience highly desirable.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a collaborative mindset.
