A growing independent accountancy firm in Manchester is looking for an Accountant to join their team in a role that offers real client exposure, variety and responsibility from day one.

This position would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, understanding how businesses operate and playing a part in their ongoing success.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll manage your own portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact and supporting them across a range of areas, including:

• Preparing statutory accounts and tax returns
• Producing management accounts and discussing performance with clients
• Handling VAT and day-to-day financial queries
• Reviewing work and ensuring accuracy and quality
• Supporting business owners with practical, real-world advice

You won’t be stuck purely in the background - this is a role where you’ll be encouraged to get involved, ask questions and contribute.

What they’re looking for:

• Experience working within an accountancy practice
• ACA / ACCA / AAT qualified or part-qualified
• Comfortable speaking with clients and building relationships
• Organised, proactive and keen to take ownership of your work
