A leading accountancy practice in Brighton is seeking an experienced and ambitious Business Services Manager to join their expanding team. The Role
The successful candidate will manage their own portfolio of clients, supporting them with a wide range of accounting and tax services. This is a varied and rewarding position offering real scope for progression, including opportunities to contribute to business development and strategic advisory work.
Key Responsibilities:

Managing a portfolio of clients, including preparation of accounts and corporation tax returns

Overseeing self-assessment and partnership tax returns

Providing commercial business support and advisory services

Handling company secretarial matters (e.g., confirmation statements)

Supervising and reviewing work of junior staff

Advising on tax-advantaged share schemes (e.g., EMI) and venture capital reliefs (EIS/SEIS)

Preparing R&D and creative industry tax relief claims

Participating in business development and client engagement initiatives
About You:

ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience

Strong background in practice, with solid technical knowledge across accounting and tax

Excellent client-facing and communication skills

Confident managing a varied portfolio and mentoring junior team members

Commercially aware, proactive, and detail-oriented

Strong IT proficiency and comfortable using cloud-based systems
