An established and highly regarded accountancy practice is looking to appoint an Audit Senior Manager to join its growing Milton Keynes team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced audit professional who enjoys leading teams, managing complex client relationships and playing a key role in strategic growth.

The Opportunity

You will support Partners and Directors in delivering the firm’s strategy while leading a large and varied client portfolio. The portfolio includes owner-managed businesses and companies across a wide range of industries, providing exposure to complex and interesting assignments.

This role combines technical audit leadership, client relationship management and business development, offering a clear pathway for continued progression within the firm.

The Role

Managing a substantial portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors

Leading complex audit assignments and ensuring high-quality delivery

Building and maintaining strong client relationships while managing expectations and budgets

Supporting Partners and Directors in delivering the firm’s strategic objectives

Overseeing multiple projects and managing resources across audit teams

Leading and motivating teams, providing coaching and development to managers and staff

Identifying opportunities within existing client relationships to support business growth

Contributing to new business development through networking and referrals

Providing practical commercial advice to clients on complex business issues

Driving continuous improvement and encouraging innovation within the audit team

What We’re Looking For

ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 5 years’ post-qualified experience in external audit and practice

Strong technical knowledge including UK GAAP, FRS102, FRS101 and IFRS

Experience managing complex client portfolios and leading audit teams

Strong leadership and people management skills

Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities within a client portfolio

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

Experience with audit and accounting software such as Excel, Sage or audit systems would be beneficial
