A fast growing accountancy practice is looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join their Oxford team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified audit professional to step into a progressive and people-focused firm where career growth, flexibility, and client variety are part of everyday life.

This role can be full-time or part-time, with a supportive and adaptable approach to work-life balance.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading audit assignments across a variety of sectors, managing fieldwork and client relationships

  • Preparing audit files and audit planning documentation

  • Allocating work and supervising junior team members, offering support, training, and reviewing their output

  • Preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations

  • Reviewing audit and accounts jobs prepared by more junior staff

  • Using accounting software to deliver accurate reports for internal and external stakeholders

  • Supporting with service and product pricing and contributing to new client proposals

  • Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and applying it to real-world scenarios

  • Building strong working relationships across the business and with clients

What you will need:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist)

  • Minimum of three years’ UK audit experience within an accountancy practice

  • Some experience preparing accounts as well as audits

  • Strong communication and team leadership skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, confident approach

  • Strong IT skills, especially in Excel and accounting packages such as Xero, Sage, Caseware, or CCH (preferred)

  • A degree (2:1 or above) or at least three A-Levels at grades A, B, B or higher
