Audit & Accounts Senior – Join our Client's Expanding Peterborough Team - Top 20 Accounting Firm

Our client, a leading accounting and advisory network, is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing Peterborough office audit team. This opportunity arises due to an expanding and increasingly demanding client base. Join our client's dynamic and friendly team and become an integral part of their audit and accounts team.
**The Role:**
The successful candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual with a minimum of two years' experience delivering external audit and accounting services. The role involves overseeing and undertaking audits and accounts work, both in our client's office and at client premises. This varied position will require the candidate to lead audits, supervise on-site audit teams, and mentor junior team members.
**Responsibilities:**
- Lead audits from planning to completion, reporting to managers and partners.
- Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion.
- Lead on-site audit teams and complete audits with minimal supervision.
- Coach and mentor junior team members.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Present results to managers and agree on commercially viable audit recommendations and business actions.
- Supervise and review the work of more junior audit staff.
- Attend post-audit client meetings.
The role involves working with a diverse portfolio of clients across various business sectors, including owner-managed businesses, limited companies, corporate groups, large multi-nationals, charities, not-for-profits, and academies. Up to 50% of the role will include accounting work, such as preparing management accounts and financial statements, and drafting tax computations.
**Requirements:**
- Qualified with either ACCA or ACA.
- At least three years' UK accountancy practice experience.
- Knowledge of FRS 102.
- Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounts software.
- Ability to deliver accurate work to deadlines and under pressure.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A driving license and access to transport are essential.
