A well-established accountancy practice with offices across Sussex and Surrey is looking for an Audit Semi-Senior or Assistant Manager to join its team in central Brighton.

The work is mainly audit, with some accounts preparation in the mix. So you keep your skills broad while building real depth where it counts. And they will fully support you through the rest of your exams.

It's a firm with the scale and client mix of a much bigger practice, but it still feels like a close team. Partners are approachable. Ideas get listened to. Clients tend to stay for decades, which says plenty about how people are looked after on both sides of the desk.

What you'll be doing

• Statutory audits for a varied mix of clients, from owner-managed businesses to UK subsidiaries of international groups
• Running smaller jobs yourself and leading sections of larger ones
• Drafting completion files, financial statements and management letter points
• Preparing year-end accounts for a portfolio of non-audit clients
• Coaching trainees on site and dealing directly with client finance teams

Who this will suit

• Part-qualified ACA or ACCA with UK practice audit experience
• Semi-seniors ready for more responsibility, or experienced part-qualifieds already running jobs
• Someone who enjoys variety and wants to keep a hand in accounts
