Due to continued growth within the Swindon and Cirencester offices, we are recruiting for an Audit and Accounts Manager to assist the Partners and senior management team in the delivery of statutory audit and accounts preparation services. The work will be approximately audit 50% and accounts 50%, including the Charity and Not-for-Profit sector. The successful candidate should have the desire to progress to RI (Responsible Individual for Audit purposes) and, importantly, to be heavily involved in our sizeable Charity & Notfor-Profit portfolio. As part of our growth plans, there is a path to Partnership for this role.



Full-time 37.50 hours per week; office-based plus work from home on Wednesdays, if desired





The Audit and Accounts Manager duties will be:

• Management and delivery of audit/accounts assignments for Charity and Not-ForProfit sector, Limited Companies (including groups), Sole Traders and Partnerships from both balanced systems including cloud-based software and incomplete records

• Oversight of workflow and management of appropriate staff allocation

• Managing and taking the lead on audit assignments from planning through to completion

• Reviewing audit files ahead of Partner review

• Reviewing and preparing draft corporation tax and business tax computations including supporting analysis

• Delivering information and communicate with clients in a timely and effective manner

• Assisting the senior management team and Partners on ad-hoc project work

• Participating in strategic planning for the Firm



• ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 5 years of practice experience

• Experience in the charity and Not-for-Profit sector or a desire to learn and become a specialist in this sector

• Experience at manager or assistant manager level


The Audit and Accounts Manager will have the following attributes and skills:

• Ability to multitask and prioritise a number of jobs across all portfolios, whilst demonstrating excellent time management skills to ensure all deadlines and expectations are met

• Experience managing audit assignments including; planning, preparation, completion and client delivery

• Display strong technical knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and International Standards for Auditing

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail

• Commercial awareness

• Strong interpersonal skills Experience using IRIS and MyWorkPapers is preferred but is not essential.
