Job Title: Assistant Financial Accountant
Location: Ipswich, UK
Our client, a small accountancy practice in Ipswich, is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual to develop their career within a growing company.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Performing reconciliations of bank accounts, and other financial transactions
- Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and other tax filings
- Contributing to the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and liaising with auditors
Requirements:
- Strong educational background
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Knowledge of UK GAAP and tax regulations
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in an accountancy practice
