Accounts Assistant / Trainee Accountant
ProTalent is working with a friendly and growing independent accountancy practice in the Brighton & Hove area that is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant or Trainee Accountant to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early stages of their accountancy career who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive practice environment. Working alongside experienced accountants, you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of accounting work while developing your technical knowledge and client-facing skills.

The role
Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for a range of clients
Supporting the team with bookkeeping and reconciliations
Helping prepare VAT returns and maintain accurate financial records
Working alongside senior team members on client assignments
Supporting compliance work and ensuring records are kept up to date
The successful applicant
Some experience within an accountancy practice would be beneficial but is not essential
AAT studying or looking to begin professional studies
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
