We are looking for an experienced accounts technician or accounts senior to join a long-established and friendly accountancy practice in the Bolton area. If you have a warm personality and professional expertise, this could be the perfect role for you.
Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Handle personal and corporation tax computations
- Compile monthly management accounts
- Conduct bookkeeping tasks using software like Sage and Quickbooks for VAT returns
- Communicate directly with clients, addressing queries, and offering ongoing business advice
- Support and collaborate with team members, including mentoring trainees
Minimum Knowledge and Experience Required
- Experience in a small/medium accountancy practice
- Ideally AAT qualified or equivalent, with strong knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
- Confidence in visiting clients to assist in maintaining computerised accounting records
- Proficiency in a range of accounting packages, particularly Sage Business Cloud/Sage Line 50
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and strong organisational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to build and maintain client relationships
