This is an accounts-focused Account Manager role with a modern Norwich practice, and it comes with a real route into senior management.

THE FIRM

An independent, cloud-based accountancy practice in Norwich with a clear purpose: to make accounting a genuine partnership for small businesses, not a black box. The client base is varied and interesting, from owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurs to charities and social enterprises.

They use AI tools properly (with a human always checking the output), the leadership team are serious about training and technical standards, and the culture puts wellbeing and development front and centre.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Looking after your own portfolio of clients as their main point of contact
  • Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts under FRS 102 1A and FRS 105
  • Preparing corporation tax computations, CT600s and self-assessment returns
  • Keeping clients compliant, including MTD for Income Tax
  • Agreeing a written tax plan with each company and director client every year
  • Running client meetings by video and spotting where clients need extra advice
  • Reviewing junior colleagues' work and helping them develop

WHO THIS WILL SUIT

  • ACCA, ACA or MAAT qualified, or a finalist
  • A solid UK accountancy practice background
  • Confident with accounts, corporation tax and SA100s
  • Comfortable leading client meetings and owning relationships
  • Commercially aware: time recording, WIP and billing
  • Happy working in FreeAgent, Xero or QuickBooks
