Exclusively working with a diverse Practice accountancy firm in Bury St Edmunds with a longstanding reputation for looking after and developing their members of staff at all levels. This firm is really excited to be in the position to bring a new bookkeeper into the team to continue the 2021 success.

The ideal Bookkeeping candidate will have VAT Return experience and ideally CIS experience although this is not essential. Training can be provided on CIS if required.

The business has a central Cambridge office and a satellite office just outside of the centre which offers on-site parking. It is the successful candidate’s choice as to which office they would prefer to work from. Working from home can also be accommodated, although several days in the office per week is expected.

This role can be done either full time or part time depending on personal circumstances.

The role:

  • Bookkeeping duties for a wide range of clients
  • VAT Returns
  • Working with multiple platforms such as Xero and Quickbooks
  • Supporting clients with bookkeeping and software queries
  • Payroll journals 

The applicant:

  • Solid bookkeeping experience and well versed in working with several different clients at once
  • Used to working on multiple software platforms
  • Double entry bookkeeping, VAT and CIS knowledge and experience
  • Looking for a long-term career
